Louisiana native “Kool Kid” better known as Fiya has a passion to rap. Growing up Fiya was inspired by various local acts such as The Hot Boys and No-Limit Records. When he was fifteen in high school he was introduced to a close friend name Tyrant who was already established in a local rap group “Y.N.H (Young-n-Heartless)”. When fiya became one of the sixth members of the rap group, shortly after they released a mixtape called “Armz-n-Hammerz”. It was then Fiya realized he had what it takes.

Years flew by, paper, ink, and time was being wasted and with Fiya's big brother LonnieT’s smarts in business and financial decisions, he decided to help his talented brother become a future in rap music that in time will be recognize.

When Street Mindz Entertainment was established in 2008. Lonnie T Rogers CEO of Street Mindz Entertainment signed Fiya as being the first Rap artist of the company. In 2009 Fiya release his first mixtape call “The 1 on Won'' Fiya has big plans on blazing' the industry with his fire verses and slick metaphors.  

On the Way Up (2010) Fiya’s second mixtape while working with Street Mindz Entertainment is becoming a recognition for the humble artist. Traveling and doing shows at numerous venues along with his label mates TONE and LIL PHIL, has exersized his talent much. Fiya’s main goal is progression and growth not only as a rapper, but as an artist.
